Watch the sky explode with a kaleidoscope of color, music and American Dreams in an awe-inspiring pyrotechnic spectacular sure to be Shiloh Amphitheater's largest fireworks celebration ever. Be dazzled as the Shiloh Amphitheater presents its 16th annual Independence Day celebration and honors America’s 230 years of wishes and dreams with music, performances, and choreographed fireworks.
This year's show, American Dreams – Fireworks Spectacular, promises to please the entire family. Rekindle your fondest memories as a child reminds you of the power of dreams and be inspired by past Presidents' encouraging words. Traverse the fond days of yesteryear with Yankee Doodle guiding your way as fireworks blaze new trails in the sky as you visit the Old West. Be thoroughly entertained by a zany cartoon medley, then team up with Indiana Jones as he braves his way through fire. Come aboard as pirates take the stage in a battle sure to light up the sky. Space, the "final frontier", fills with color honoring our space explorers and bringing the evening to a close. With some musical arrangements, movie scores, elaborate stage pyrotechnics and fireworks throughout the entire performance, American Dreams – Fireworks Spectacular is sure to be the highlight of your summer.
The show is produced by Richard Holbrook with a cast and crew of approximately 80 people from many artistic fields. The show is developed and rehearsed in Los Angeles. Production is then moved to Iowa a week and a half before the performance date where the sets are assembled, lighting is set, and the final rehearsals are held. Fireworks are choreographed by Gary Higgins in close cooperation with the Richmond Shooters, a group of certified pyrotechnics from the local community.
