On Sunday, July 3rd, we once again gather under Southeast Iowa’s stars to celebrate our nation’s independence! Now in its 26th year, the Shiloh Independence Day celebration will continue the great American tradition of illuminating the sky with a grand display of both close proximity and aerial fireworks, all accompanied by music from a massive sound system brought in from North Hollywood, California. Pre-show festivities include an evening of live bands, a cohort of food trucks and vendors, along with balloon animals and face painting for the kids.
The Shiloh church, just south of Kalona, welcomes communities near and far to join in the tradition this July 3rd. Live bands will start at 7:30pm, followed by the fireworks show by the Richmond Shooters at 9:15pm. Doors will close at 8:45pm. Concessions will be available and picnic baskets are welcome. The show is best seen and heard from the amphitheater bench and grass areas where seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Admission is free ($5.00 for parking). Produced by Rick Holbrook.
The event will be streamed ShilohAmphitheater on Ustream at http://www.ustream.tv/channel/shilohamphitheater. Iowa time.
